Karla Hirkaler always loved arts, while growing up in Peru her parents enrolled her in a top modeling school "Geraldine". Although she was a tomboy as a kid this was the place where she discovered the beauty of makeup, she discovered her love for fashion and embraced all its artistry. It soon became her passion, ambition and goal to pursue. She relocated to U.S. to fulfill her dreams. Once in the U.S. she was trained by Make Up For Ever before she attended and graduated from Cosmix school in Florida.
Her freelance career started by catering to Brides, HD TV, Airbrush & Private Lessons in Miami, however only after a few months she was given the opportunity to work on some of the most prestigious runways like: Gen Arts for Maybelline and Miami Fashion Week Shows.
She was then offered a job opportunity and moved to NY to work for the 5 time Emmy Award winning Makeup Artist EVE PEARL . Once in NY she became part of the Maybelline PRO Makeup Artist team for NYFW, and she has worked on shows such as: Rodarte, Hermes, Giorgio Armani, The Row, Public School, Custo Barcelona, L.A.M.B, Rachel Zoe, RL, Armani Exchange, DKNY, to name a few and she has an A+ list of celebrity clients. She has 9+ years of professional experience. Her blogs have been featured on Stylist.com and The Huffington Post and Vogue.
Currently she works as a fulltime freelance Makeup & Hair Artist for different networks like NBC, FUSE, AOL, E!, Bravo & Huffington Post live.
