Young-ah Kim

Wardrobe Stylist

BIO

Young-Ah was born in Seoul, grew up in Perth, Western Australia and New York City. After attending the Bronx High School of Science then Vassar College, she moved to the East Village and joined a rock band - first playing the keys, then bass and guitar. She toured all over Europe and played in festivals such as SXSW while styling the band for their live shows, music videos and was a strong force in developing their visual identity. While playing weekly venues on the Lower East Side, Young-Ah's style credibility began to spread and she soon found herself styling for other bands, then magazines, music videos and commercials. Her work flourishes today across multiple mediums from print/digital to TV, video and film on national campaigns to music videos and celebrity styling.  Her labor of love is to work with musicians, favorite color is blue and her favorite human is her five year old nephew.

Young-Ah now splits her time between the Clinton Hill neighborhood of Brooklyn and Venice, CA.
