Rachel Jerome Ferraro is a Mississippian currently living and working as a photographic artist in New York, where she received an MFA at the Visual Studies Workshop. Her current work explores themes that relate her personal life to a broader world, employing photography, three-dimensional objects, and the moving image. Her work has been exhibited internationally, and has garnered grants from the Mississippi Arts Commission and awards from PDN Photo Annuals, PDN Digital Awards, Graphis, American Photography (AI-AP), and Communication Arts Photo Annuals. Her personal work was featured in Fraction Magazine, Issue 54. Rachel has guest lectured at Yale University School of Art, the School of Visual Arts, Fashion Institute of Technology, the University of Southern Mississippi, and the International Center of Photography. She has also participated in panel discussions at The Art Directors Club, PhotoEast Expo and the American Society of Media Photographers. She is currently a Lecturer in the School of Photographic Arts and Sciences at Rochester Institute of Technology.
